Yamilet Sanchez, Hacia Intern
Yamilet Sanchez is an intern at Hacia: Toward the University and obtained knowledge about the program throughout the informational events that Hacia has attended at South Valley Academy during her high school experience. Yamilet wanted to help make an impact in the community where she grew up to inform other individuals about the resources that are available for the community during their education path. She is a first-generation college student attending the University of New Mexico pursuing a degree in Business Administration and a minor in Spanish whose expected graduation date is May 2026.

I heard that Southwest Creations had an internship opportunity that will help me build growth and be able to help the community on being able to pursue further on in a higher education path and being able to improve my skills.”
