In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, SCC pivoted much of our work to making face masks. The mask material was developed specifically for face masks for its breathability and moldability to the face. The masks are comfortable, washable, and long-lasting. The Bernalillo County Fire Department worked with us to develop the masks which have been distributed to tens of thousands of front-line workers and community members and have been well-received for their comfort, durability and washability. We have also developed two different child-sized masks. The masks are only available in white due to the special fabric.
