Rosa Gomez, Daycare Manager

Rosa Gomez has been with Southwest Creations since 2005. During this time her children have all been participants in SCC’s college readiness and family engagement program Hacia: Toward the University. In 2014, she enrolled at Central New Mexico Community College where she obtained her Childhood Development Certification (CDC).

As Daycare Manager, Rosa is in charge of managing our in house daycare on a daily basis, which includes maintaining a schedule for the children, creating educational activities, and ensuring that every child’s needs are being met. Through the years, she has been a core part in the growth and development of SCC employees’ children.

“I have been at Southwest Creations for 18 years. In that time, with the support given to me at SCC I was able to complete my GED, obtain my citizenship, and receive my CDC (Childhood Development Certificate) at CNM to be able to support in our daycare. All this was thanks to the help and support that they have always given me here. I feel blessed to be a part of this great organization.
