Odalys Marquez, Hacia Facilitator
Odalys Marquez is a former Hacia: Toward the University participant and now works as a Project Facilitator.
Odalys was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has worked as a Breakthrough Santa Fe Teaching Fellow and Tutor. She is a Simon Scholars alumni and a Davis New Mexico Scholar, which is a full-ride scholarship for New Mexico students who are first-generation college students.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish with minors in Biology and Chicanx/Latinx Studies from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas.

I remember how Hacia helped me during high school with ACT preparation as well as filling out FAFSA with my parents. I appreciate all of the programs and people who helped me with the college application process, and I love that now I have the opportunity to give back to my community and help students and families the same way my family and I were helped.”
