Elva Grajeda, Daycare Assistant Manager

SCC es mi segunda casa porque aquí he crecido como persona en el lado laboral y en el lado personal como mamá. Para mí es un orgullo ser fundadora. Gracias a SCC que me a apoyado en todas las decisiones que he tomado. Yo lo considero una bendición estar aquí. Este fue mi primer trabajo y creo que será el último. Amo mi trabajo.”

Elva Grajeda is a Southwest Creations Collaborative founding member. She began in our Handwork Department on an embroidery project and has since grown as a leader to become Daycare Assistant Manager. In 2014, Elva received her CDC (Childhood Development Certificate) from Central New Mexico Community College. She has since also completed her GED as a part of our Adult Education Program. All of Elva’s children were raised at SCC’s onsite daycare and later on became participants of Hacia: Toward the University Project, SCC’s college readiness and family engagement program.

Aside from being the Daycare Assistant Manager, Elva is also cross trained to support in our production department based on daily company needs.
